April 13, 2004 Planning Division, Room 205 City Hall, 801 Main Street Beaumont, TX 77701 P.O. Box 3827 77704 RE: Request for Variance 270 Central Caldwood To Whom It May Concern: We are submitting a request for a variance on our property because we are planning on constructing a 2-story addition to our home and due to the awkward shape of our property our proposed addition will come within I foot of our property line. Enclosed you will find a site plan showing where our addition will be. It will not be in the front of the home, which may be an eyesore for our neighbors during construction, but rather it is in the rear. This addition will not affect our neighbors in any way. Along with the addition we will also be upgrading and beautifying our entire house which shall be pleasing to our neighbors. We do respect the ordinance and appreciate the job it does; however we feel that the narrow angle that our property makes, has caused an unnecessary hardship. Thank You forlur time in evaluating our request.
