BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
November 3, 1988
City Council Chambers
A meeting of the Board of Adjustment was held on November 31 1988 with the
following members present:
Chairman Milton Bell
Board member Ron Lanier
Board member Charles Thompson
Board member Bettye Smith
Board members absent: Whit Outlaw, Preston Shaw and Gerald Farha.
Also present: Kirt Anderson, Planning Director, Murray Duren, Sr. Planner,
Edmund Petry, Planner, Tyrone Cooper, lst Assistant City Attorney and Walterine
Brown, Recording Secretary.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Board member Lanier made a motion to approve the minutes of September 26,
1988.
Seconded by Board member Thompson.
Vote carried 4:0.
FILE 335�BA. Consider a variance to reduce the front yard building setback
for an existing residence at 5650 Mistletoe Drive on part of Lot 1, Block
It Willowbend Addition, known as Tract "F11, Block I said addition.
Staff recommended the variance be granted because granting the variance will
not be contrary to the public interest; Literal enforcement of the ordinance
will result in an unnecessary hardship due to the irregular shape of the
property owner's tract of land; and by granting the variance, the spirit
of the ordinance will be done.

Commissioner Thompson made a motion to approve the variance based on staff's
recommendation.
