PUBLIC HEARING
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
March 3, 1988
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
CITY HALL, BEAUMONT, TEXAS
2:00 P.M.
A meeting of the Board of Adjustment was held on March 3, 1988 with the following
members present:
Chairman Milton Bell
Board Member Ron Lanier
Board Member Charles Thompson
Board Member Gerald Farha
Board Member Bettye Smith
Board Members absent: Preston Shaw and Whit Outlaw.
Also Present: Kirt Andorson, Planning Director, Murray Duren, Planner, Tyrone
Cooper, First Assistant City Attorney and Walterine Brown, Recording Secretary.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Board Member Thompson made a motion to approve the minutes of January 7,
1988.
Seconded by Board Member Smith.
vote carried 5-0.
FILE 331-BA. Variance to permit the construction of a sixty foot tall owner
identification sign at 3985 College Street.
Staff recommended denial because of being contrary to the public interest,
would not address any physical hardship related to the property and would
not be in keeping with the spirit of the Zoning Ordinance.

Seconded by Board Member Lanier.
Vote carried 5-0.
