The properties in question are located at 650 N. Ninth and 2495 North. *STAFF REPORT* STAFF RF-CON9 ENDAITON FILE: CA-63 Staff recommends approval of this request to construct the pitched roof and to demolish a vacant building. The applicant wishes to construct a pitched roof on the existing office building located at 650 N. Ninth. In addition, the applicant wishes to demolish a vacant building at 2495 North. PROJECT INFORMATION The office building located at 650 N. Ninth is of fairly recent construction and is not a contributing structure within the district. The roof of the structure is a flat mansard and is leaking. It is the desire of the applicant to construct a pitched roof in order to alleviate the leaking problem (see Attachments B and C). The applicant is also requesting approval of the demolition of the structure at 2495 North St. This structure, originally built as a single family residence, has been drastically reconfigured on the interior. More recently, the interior has been gutted by past tenants. The structure is now open to the elements. The City has investigated the possibility of whether the structure could be moved to another location and has found that it would be impractical to do so. It is the desire of the property owner to remove the building and leave the lot vacant. There are no immediate plans for development.
