STAFF REPORT
Larry Cheatham is requesting a Variance to the minimum front yard setback from 25' to 20', for
his property at 5795 Frost Street. Mr. Cheatham would like to add a new family room to the
west side of his home. The new family room needs to line up with access from the existing
kitchen, limiting the location for the room. In order to have covered parking in front of the new
family room, Mr. Cheatham hopes to build a carport in the 25 foot front yard setback. The new
carport would sit 20' from the front property line.
The applicant shall have the burden of proof to demonstrate that all three conditions necessary
for a variance have been met.
