FILE: 722-BA STAFF REPORT Paul and Linda Suddath are requesting a variance to the front setback for their property located at 1625 Hyde Court. The house was constructed without a covered front porch. The front of the house currently sits at the required 25 foot setback. The Suddaths state that their house is the only one on the street without a covered front porch. They believe that a covered porch will help with the utilities and provide protection from the elements during inclement weather. In addition, they state the house looks incomplete without a covered porch. The local Home Owner's Association has given its approval of the Suddath's plans. The applicant shall have the burden of proof to demonstrate that all three conditions necessary for a variance have been met. Exhibits are attached.
