GENERAL BUSINESS
1. Consider a request for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Recreational Vehicle
Park in an LI (Light Industrial) District at 2575 W. Cardinal Drive
2. Consider a request for an Amended Specific Use Permit to allow the expansion of
a bar in a GC-MD (General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District
located at 6210 Phelan Boulevard
3. Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application
to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the purchase of new
buses for the transit system
4. Consider a resolution approving a contract with SETEX Construction Corporation
of Beaumont for the asbestos abatement and demolition of three structures located
at 747 College Street

Dangerous Structures
5. Consider an ordinance to declare fifty (50) structures to be unsafe structures and
order the owners to raze the said structures within ten (10) days. If the property
owner fails to comply within ten (10) days, staff is requesting City Council
authorization to demolish these structures without further notification to the
property owner or City Council action. Additionally, if the property owner of a
structure requests and is authorized by City Council to enroll in a work program,
all delinquent taxes shall be paid in full or a payment plan shall be established
prior to enrollment in the work program. Enrollment in the work program shall
occur within ten days after the effective date of this ordinance

CONSENT AGENDA
Approval of minutes – January 28, 2020
Confirmation of board and commission member appointments
Charles Taylor would be appointed as Chairman of the Community Development Advisory
Committee. The term would commence February 4, 2020 and expire September 30, 2021.

A) Approve the renewal of an annual software maintenance agreement with Cityworks
B) Authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Legacy Community
Development Corporation related to the use of HOME Investment Partnerships funds
from the Department of Housing and Urban Development
