Judith Walker Linsley is a descendent of early Beaumont, Texas, pioneer John Jay French. She has been
an author or co-author of a number of books on Beaumont and Texas history including Beaumont: A
Chronicle of Promise; Giant Under the Hill: A History of the Soindletoo Oil Discovery at Beaumont.
Texas, in 1901, and Historic Beaumont: An Illustrated History.
This small collection consists of photocopies of articles that Judith Walker Linsley wrote for the
Beaumont Journal newspaper in a series called "History Journal" that highlighted people, events,
organizations, and buildings in Beaumont's history. The articles in this collection were printed between
April 25, 1996, and October 13, 1999.
