Sethna The India Association of Southeast Texas was formed in 1987 to promote understanding of Indian culture within the Golden Triangle and among the association members. There are currently about fifty-five member families. The activities of the association include teaching children about the cultural heritage of India, Indian history, religious training, geography and languages of India. The India Association produces a monthly newsletter, nine of which are contained in this collection. The association also hosts an annual Indiafest which is a program of folk dancing, Sanskrit recitals, and classical Indian music. The 1991 and 1992 Indiafest programs are contained in this collection.
