Southern Pacific Depot Collection, 1968-1974
DESCRIPTION
The Southern Pacific Depot in Beaumont was built in 1904 near Laurel and Park Streets. The depot was
formally completed on December 30, 1904, at the cost of approximately $40,000. It was made of solid
brick and masonry, had terrazzo flooring, and a slate roof.
This small collection consists primarily of correspondence, newspaper and magazine articles, and 10
photographs related to the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot on Laurel and Park Streets.
