DESCRIPTION
This collection was the culmination of a project by the
third grade of Beaumont's Averill School. The class studied
Beaumont's economy and various possible exports over the
intercoastal canal. The scrapbook contains a handwritten
assessment of Beaumont entitled: "The Story of Beaumont." The
collection also includes picture postcards of Beaumont scenes and
buildings. Brief discussions of Beaumont's industrial,
agricultural, and shipbuilding potential comprise the bulk of the
collection.
