Lucas that faces the back of the commercial building located at 622 W. Lucas. The requested drive-thru location would increase the noise from both vehicles in line and ordering at the drive-thru window. In addition, how the proposed driveway would intersect with the current Quenchie's drive-thru lane would present a problem as an additional car will have to wait on the street to allow for cars to cross Quenchis's drive-thru lane. The cars waiting in line for Quenchie's is already a problem for our residential street and, if approved,this new drive-thru lane on the commercial property will only make it worse. make that even more of an issue. If this request is approved, at a minimum,there needs to be a requirement for privacy fence between the curb and the proposed driveway that would hide the cars and buffer the noise created by turning the back of this building on a residential street into a neighborhood's nightmare. Would you want your living room to look out on cars driving through ordering cookies all times of the day? This is not a good idea at all. Of course,the applicant has already installed the drive-thru window and the large menu sign that has been installed on the back of the building. Will this sign be lit up at night? What will be the hours of operation for the drive-thru? I have invested a lot of money in the residential properties that I own on W. Lucas. I just completed the re- building of my house at 640 W. Lucas as a result of a fire. With all the work now completed and approved by the City's building inspector, it is now ready to rent.
