Curtis White �/Certificate of Appropriateness to
enlarge the driveway at 2535 Louisiana Street. The applicant plans to remove a part of the drive and
then create a larger driveway to the right of the home and not to extend in front of the home.

proposed site plan indicates the new driveway to be l' from the property line.
The home is listed in the 1991 SPARE Beaumont Survey as built circa 1942 and classified as a
traditional/ranch style home. The recorder noted that the "house is well-ma/nto/ned" The
significance of this home is listed as �4n example of World War 8 housing that was popular
throughout the country."
Planning staff recommends approval of the request with the following conditions:
1. The new pavement maintains 2' from the property line as required by ordinance, or
obtain a successful variance from the Board of Adjustment.
2. All applicable permits and inspections are obtained through the Building [odes
Department.
