SUBJECT: Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to convert a garage structure to a
nmothepin-|aw/suite.
STAFF REPORT
Nalleli Garcia is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness to convert a garage structure to a
mother-in-law suite at the property located at 2395 Angelina Street. Ms. Garcia is seeking to
remove the current roll up garage door and replace it with a standard front door, vertical siding
to match the structure will be installed to enclose the remaining area. Windows will be installed
on the front, and sides of the structure to meet applicable residential codes.
The property is not in the SPARE Beaumont Survey.
Staff recommends approval of the request with the following condition:
1. The windows installed be one over one.
2. All necessary permits and inspections are obtained through the Building Codes
