BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to award a contract to King
Solutions, LLC, of Houston, Texas, for the emergency repair of an eight -inch sanitary sewer
main and service connections on Highpoint Avenue in an amount not to exceed $125,000.00.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in strict
compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 5 51.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of j3eaumont this the 3rd day of
September, 2024.

Re: Highpolnt Dr. Emergency Sewer Repair Letter
This letter Is to inform you that the City of Beaumont Water Utilities Department was made aware of a
sewer main break at 6365 Highpoint Dr, on August 6, 2024. City forces tried to make the repair, but
unfortunately, due to the depth of the sewer main and soil condition, they were unable to complete
the repair.
This failure of the sewer main is a threat to public health and safety and must be corrected
Immediately.
We are working to secure a Contractor to perform the necessary repair.
