HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 24-169RESOLUTION NO. 24-169 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: WHEREAS, Gloria Broussard, owner of Concord EMS, is requesting approval to operate an ambulance transport service in the city lin-tits of Beaumont; and, WHEREAS, Concord EMS will operate as a transport service only and will not participate in the City of Beaumont's Rollover Agreement to respond to emergency calls; and, WHEREAS, the addition of another licensed emergency medical services provider will not interfere with or adversely affect the provision of emergency medical services by the licensed emergency medical services providers already operating in the City; and, WHEREAS, the addition of another licensed emergency medical service provider will remedy an existing provider shortage that cannot be resolved through the use of licensed emergency services providers operating in the City; and, WHEREAS, the addition of another licensed emergency m4cal services provider will not cause an oversupply of licensed emergency services in the City; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the request of Gloria Broussard, owner of Concord EMS, to operate an ambulance transport service in the city litnits of Beaumont should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and, THAT the request of Gloria Broussard, owner of Concord EMS, to operate an annbiulance transport service in the city limits of Beaumont is hereby approved. The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter SS 1. 2024.
