STAFF REPORT
Alicia Gudino of Straight and Narrow Foundation on behalf of property owner Donna Kay Ware,
is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness to remove the brick chimney and replace it with
like siding onthe home located at242OMcFaddlnAvenue.
The request comes asapart ofalist ofrepairs being made tothe property. The home
seemingly identifies with prairie architecture most if not all examples provided by A Field Guide
to American Houses, include bricked chimneys featured on these structures. Examples ofthe
prairie details can be reviewed in A Field Guide to American Houses (McAlester et a|, pgs. 448'
451).
Planning staff recommends denial of the request.
