STAFF REPORT
Husain Dadabhoy is requesting a Specific Use Permit to allow a scrap recycling collection center
at565Orange Avenue. Operations ofthis facility will include the collection, purchase, and
shipment of scrap metal and other recyclable materials from both the public and industrial
sources. They will collect various recyclable materials such as scrap metal, plastics, paper, and
electronics and offer fair market prices encouraging individuals and businesses to participate
actively in recycling efforts. The site will consist of concrete pathways within the yard,
construct a storage building, and include a small office space for administration.
Planning staff recommends approval of the request with the following conditions:
I. Construction plans must meet all requirements by Water Utilities for water and sanitary
sewer services, including any requirements ofthe C\m/s back -flow, pre-treatment
and/or FOG program.
2. Construction plans shall comply with all applicable Building and Fire Codes.
3. Shall install an 8' wood, masonry or metal fence around the perimeter of the property if
materials are stored outside of building.
4. Storage of any kind shall not encroach onto any public right-of-way.
5. Shall adhere to all State statutes, local ordinances and required licensing for a metal
recycling entity.

Center atBBOrange Ave, Beaumont,, TXT7701.This facility will serve asamodern recycling collection
center, focusing onthe collection, purchase, and shipment ofscrap metal and other recyclable materials
from both the public and industrial sources. Our intention is to operate this facility efficiently and
responsibly to contribute to the recycling efforts in the city of Beaumont and the Sul -rounding areas.
The Beaumont Recycling Center will play a pivotal role in recycling and environmental sustainability in
our community. Below, | provide a detailed description of the processes and activities that will take place
atour recycling collection center:
Material Collection: We will collect various recyclable materials such as scrap metal, plastics, paper, and
electronics from the public and industrial sources on a daily basis. Our trained staff will ensure efficient
and safe od|eodon procedures.
Purchase of Materials: We will offer fair market prices for all recyclable materials brought to our center,
encouraging individuals and businesses to participate actively in recycling efforts.
Material Sorting and Preparation. Materials collected will be sorted and prepared for shipping within
