FILE: P72023-203 The City of Beaumont is requesting to abandon the rights of way for portions of South, Archie and Holmes Streets. Once abandoned, an exchange of this property has been arranged to provide additional parking for the Event Centre and Lakeside Center. Centerpoint has stated they have utilities located in several of the properties, but would find a blanket easement acceptable for their needs. Planning staff recommends approval of the abandonments with retention of a blanket utility easement. This item was sent to all interested parties. Exhibits are attached.
