FILE: pZ2023-96 STAFF REPORT Isabel Meneses requests approval of a Specific Use Permit to allow a stone cutting and fabrication business located at I981 Magnolia Avenue. The operations of the business entail making granite counters for bathrooms and kitchens. They use the MaNta P\&5001Ctoo| to cut the granite and use water to avoid noise and dust. The hours of operations and staffing was not disclosed to Planning staff. Planning staff recommends approval of the request with the following conditions- 1. Shall be in compliance with Section 28.04.007 Performance Standards. 2'Shall be|ncompliance with all applicable Building and Fire Codes. 3. Construction plans must meet all requirements by Water Utilities for water and sanitary sewer services, including any requirements of the C|t/s backflow, pre-treatment and/or FOG program. To make granite cuts that are healthier for the environment, we use the Makita PW5001C tool, this same tool is used for polishing. We attach the manual, where the noise level is described.
