STAFF REPORT
Property owner, Ronnie Wallace, is requesting a Specific Use Permit to establish a church at
S75OS.Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. This location was once used asadrinking place,
formerly known asBar 23. Mr. Wallace recently purchased the property and intends bobegin a
ministry. The building will be used for religious practices such as prayer services and outreach
projects throughout the community.
Staff recommends approval of the request with the following conditions:
l. Appropriate sign and pavement markings shall beinstalled toupdate the AOApanung
space to current standards.
Z Construction plans must meet all requirements by Water Utilities for any water and
sewer improvements, including any requirements of the City's backflow, pre-treatment,,
and/or FOG program.
Please note that final occupancy approval is subject to review and acceptance of submitted
plans and field inspections toverify compliance with applicable codes.

My name is Ronnie Wallace current owner of
property located at 5750 S. M.L. King Jr Pkwy. I would like to
respectfully like to request to change the use of building from bar to a
church. I recently started our ministry and was looking for property to
buy when I had the thought of just converting the building that I
owned into what I need it for. The hours of operation will be from 8;00
am no later than 12:00 am. The property will remain intact with no
structural changes. The site plan for Bar 23 which should be on file
with the City of Beaumont. The building would be used for religious
practices such as preyer services and doing outreach projects
throughout the community. The property has already had a electrical
inspection for a clean and show when I was thinking of selling the
property and currently has electrical utilities. ff you any other
