FILE: PZ2023'29 STAFF REPORT Lemo|ne Disaster Recovery on behalf of Reginald Morrison, is requesting a Certificate of Demolition todemolish ahouse located at2263Long Avenue. The existing structure received substantial damage from the past hurricane events. In conjunction with demolition, the applicant requests a Certificate of Appropriateness for a new construction that will be completed under the Texas General Land Office (GLO) Harvey Program. The proposed horne will be approximately 1356 sq. ft. in size. The construction methods employed would dictate that the house is to be constructed with a pier and beam foundation with hardy plank siding, windows will be white and one (1) over one (1) in appearance. The roof will have a l' overhang with the pitch rising six (6) inches each twelve (12) inches horizontal distance. Additionally, the roof will be gOyear architectural shingles and weather wood in color- Lastly, the porch column is to be a tapered craftsman style column. The front door will be a craftsman style door with six (6) panels. The exterior body paint is to be Bungalow Beige and the trim istobeAlabaster. Planning staff recommends approval of both requests. The house is not in the SPARE Beaumont Survey. Exhibits are attached.
