STAFF REPORT
Home owner, Carmen Garza, requests to remodel the exterior of her garage apartment located
at 21O4Pecos Street. Construction occurred without the benefit ofanapproved Certificate of
Appropriateness orbuilding permits. The structure had vertical siding which was replaced with
O" horizontal cement planks. Ms. Garza replaced the rotted exterior stairs with new wooden
stairs. Lastly,, the applicant painted the garage apartment to match the main structure located
on the sanne lot. Please see pictures ofthe aforementioned located in your packets.
Staff recommends approval of the request with the following condition:
1. All appropriate permits and required inspections must be obtained through the Building
Codes department.
This house is not in the SPARE Beaumont Survey.
