F.-E. PZ2022'433 STAFF REPORT Carlos Perez homeowner, is seeking permission to replace twelve (12-) side windows to the house location at 2470 North Street. The replacement of eight (8) windows was completed without the benefit of a Certificate of Appropriateness (CA) or building permits. Originally the windows appear to have been six (6) over one pane in appearance. The windows that have been installed are one over one inappearance. The windows on the front of the home have not been altered. Please see pictures of the proposed windows located in your packet. This home is categorized as a Craftsman house. Examples for this style ofhome are located in A Field Guide to American Houses (McAlester et al., pgs. 456-463). The request to have one over one pane windows seems appropriate, because it is typical for a home within this era tohave avariety ofpanes. Staff recommends approval of this request with the following condition: 1. The four (4) front windows of the house must be replaced with six (6) over one pane windows to match existing.
