HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 22-261RESOLUTION N0.22-261 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITV COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a six (6) month contract, with the option of two (2) renewals of six (6) month terms at the same pricing as the awarded contract, for the purchase of approximately one hundred fifty (ISO) tons of Liquid Chlorine for use by the Water Utilities E)epartment; and, WHEREAS, E)XI Industries, Inc_, of Houston, Texas, submitted a bid for a total estimated amount of $325,950.00 in the unit amounts as shown in Exhibit "A," attached hereto; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by E)-XI, Industries, Inc., of Houston, Texas, is the lowest responsible bidder providing the best value to the City and should be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES(DLA/EE:) BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT= THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and, THAT the bid submitted by E:)XI Industries, Inc., of Houston, Texas, for a six (6) month contract, with the option of two (2) renewals of six (6) month terms at the same pricing as the awarded contract, for the purchase of Liquid Chlorine for use by the Water Utilities E)epartment for a total estimated amount of $325,950.00 in the unit amounts as shown in Exhibit "A," attached hereto, be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with DXI Industries, Inc., of Houston, Texas, for the purposes described herein. The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.
