SUBJECT: Consider a request for a zone change from RM-H (Residential Multiple Family
Dwelling -Highest Density) to NC (Neighborhood Commercial) District.

STAFF REPORT
The applicant wishes to rezone the subject property at 8155 Gladys so that it will all have the
same zoning classification. A specific use permit for a horticultural specialties business was
granted in 1992. A business currently occupies the subject property which consists of the east
92 feet of Lot 2 and all of Lot 3. The properties immediately to the east and west are
developed with commercial uses.

Re: Application for Amendment of the Zoning Ordinance
Lots 2 and 3, Block 37, Dowlen West Addition, are both owned
by Don Streety. One business operates on both lots, but the
lots are zoned differently. This has always caused confusion
to the operator of the business, the owner and to the City.
I am requesting that Lot 3 be zoned Neighborhood Commercial
as Lot 2 now is.
This will cause no change in the business practices of the
Hideaway Nursery that now operates at.this site.
