Richardson, Planning Director SUBJECT: Request for a zone change from RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) to PD (Port Development) District. FILE: 1419-Z STAFF REPORT City Council approved the annexation of the subject property on July 7, 1998. As per the Zoning Ordinance, all annexed properties are temporarily zoned RS (Residential Single Family), until permanently zoned by City Council. The Planning Division is asking the Planning Commission and City Council to rezone to PD (Port Development) that recently annexed portion of the Neches River extending from the Mobil Oil Refinery to Brakes Bayou. All property adjacent to the subject property is zoned PD. Exhibits are attached. PUBLIC NOTIFICATION Notices mailed to property owners 7 - Responses in Favor . Responses in Opposition LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCE PURPOSES Beginnin at a point in a northeast comer of the corporate limits of Beaumont, Texas, said point lying in the northeast comer of the former Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Company tract (sold to the Port of Beaumont 12/19/60 and leased by the Port to the Continental Grain Company (12/18/64), said point being the northwest corner of Mobil Oil Company property, said point lying thirty feet (30) west of the Mobil Oil Company fence, said point lying onthe south and right descending bank of the Neches River and being located in the D. Brown Survey, Ab.
