Richardson, Planning Director SUBJECT: Request for a zone change from A-R (Agricultural -Residential) District to RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District for a 10.365 acre tract lying at the south end of Barrington Avenue. (proposed Barrington Heights, Phase 2) FILE: 1414-Z STAFF REPORT Richard L. Guseman (Talisman Development, Inc.) is developing a 10.365 acre tract of land as Phase 2 of Barrington Heights subdivision, This subdivision was given preliminary plat approval by the Planning Commission on June 1, 1998, subject to the rezoning of the lots. A similar request for a portion of Barrington Heights, Phase 1 was approved by the Planning Commission and City Council in June, 1996. This area was annexed into the City in 1957 and zoned in 1964. The subject property is no longer used for agricultural purposes, and Amoco Production is releasing much of its property in the West Beaumont Oil Field.
