FILE: 1431-Z STAFF REPORT The property at 3380 Fannin is the former BPM Club, consisting of 5,75 acres of land fronting 525 feet along the north side of the street. Original 1955 zoning was HI (1-2) because of the industrial development along Hollywood between 4th and I Ith Streets, Land use along Fannin in this area is medical, including clinics, hospitals and medical offices. The applicant wishes to convert the former private club into a residential care facility for girls. Residential care is not permitted in the industrial districts but is permitted in the GC -MD District. The proposed use will be compatible in the neighborhood. Exhibits are attached.
