Attn: Planning Division
I respectfully request a change to the zoning for the lot described on the attached
application from Single Family Dwelling to GC -MD. I presently own and operate a self-
service car wash at 5195 Concord Road in Beaumont. The car wash is located on the
comer of Concord Road and Allen Drive. I have operated this car wash for the past 13
years. The lot which I am requesting a zoning change joins my property (see
attachment).
This particular lot has taxes in the rears in the amount of approx. $3,165.43 plus court
costs ( see attachment). The lot also has a suit filed on it for back taxes. I have made an
agreement in principal with the owner, Charles Allen, to purchase the lot for the purpose
of expanding my car wash. In order to facilitate this transaction I would of course have
to pay all back taxes and 'other liens. This would be good for the county and the
Beaumont Independent School District, as the property would become a source of tax
revenue. I am willing to do this providing I can get the lot zoning amended to meet my
needs.
Your help in this would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely , If
Michael Wirfs
