Fuente De Vida de las Asambleas de Dios is a Spanish speaking Assembly of God church,
This small congregation of 30 church members wishes to meet Wednesdays and Sundays to
hold church services, gatherings and revivals at 3395 Kenneth at its intersection with
Threadneedle in South Park. Since this property is now zoned RS a specific use permit is
required by ordinance. The brick building contains 1470 square feet and was used as an
office, but is now vacant.

our church,Fuente tie Vida de las Asambleas de Dios.Fuente De Vida de
las Asambleas de Dios church is locate -at 3395 Kenneth Ave,Beaumont Texas
This church is a Spanish speaking Assembly of God Church.It is our hope
to minister to the Hispanics in this area of Beaumont.Surely a church -
- would be a possitive force in the community.
.Our plans for this property is to operate as a christian organization
reaching out to those without God and hope.
We will be doing business according
ording to the church activities.Such as;
having church services on sunday mornings.S,unday evenings and wednesday
evenings,having revivals,covered dish fellowships and having holiday
gatherings pertaining to church.
?ur activities should not interfere with any of the eight conditions
of approval that must be met for the approval of the permit.
Once again we believe that our present site will only be an asset to
Beaumont area.We have a desire to gloryfy God in our church and have
a positive influence in this neighborhood.

Application For Specific Use Permit
Location: Lots 11 and 12, Bloch 13, Jef Chaison Addition, known as 3395 Kenneth St.,
Beaumont, Texas 77705 in Jefferson County.
undries: 'The lots are bordered on the northside by a 20 fi alley and heavy bushes and
brush from 8 to 10 $ tall run the full length of this alley.
Threadneedle Street borders the south side of the property. Lot # 10 with a vacant single
family home on the property which borders the east side.
Kenneth Street borders the west side of the property. There is a 1211 easement between
Kenneth Street and the property lime and Threadneedle Street and the property fine.
Structure: Building is a brick commercial structure that was occupied by a Certified
Public Accountants Firm until June of 1998. Budding appears to be in good condition with
approximately 1475 square feet and had utilities connected until recently purchased in
May 20, 1999.
Drainage: Building has existing drainage and appears in good condition. A storm drain is
located on the corner of Kenneth and Threadneedle. Kenneth Street is curbed and
guttered. Curb height is 6 inches. 'Threadneedle is drained by open ditch..
Landscapting: No significant trees and bushes on the property and no landscaping is
planned at this time.
Parking; A level concrete area 123 X 39 feet with two driveways. A 15 foot driveway to
Threadneedle and a 221/2 foot driveway to Kenneth Street, It could provide parking for
24 to 25 vehicles. A handicap parking space of 16 x 18 feet will be provided near the
main entrance to comply with city code. No on street parking will be needed. The number
of parking spaces to members fail within code specifications..
Sign: No signs are planned at this time. If signs are to be installed in the future, these will
comply with city codes.
The church congregation is small, approximately 30 members. The building and grounds
will be well maintained by church members. I believe this budding will be beneficial to the
neighborhood. We as the congregation will strive to be good neighbors and a benefit to
the co nanny. .

This application is in compliance with the eight conditions necessary for approval. Comments
on Items 1, 7 and 8 follow:
1) This site was a CPA office for many years. The building was originally constructed
for office use. Prior zoning was R-3, changed to RS in the 1980's, a result of a
rezoning study for South Park, The church has 30 members and parking is provided
on -site. This religious activity should not diminish or impair property values in the
neighborhood,
7) This property was developed for commercial use several years ago, prior to any
landscaping regulations. The back yard to the east is grass with some trees along the
property line and the north side yard contains heavy shrubbery. The front yard facing
Kenneth is paved with concrete. No additional landscaping is contemplated.
8) This is an area of Conservation and Revitalization. The church use will occupy an
otherwise vacant office building.
