SUBJECT: Request for a specific use permit to allow a two -chair beauty/barbershop on the
second floor of an existing structure at 2190 Broadway in an RCR (Residential
Conservation and Revitalization) District.

STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of the request for the two chair
beauty/barbershop.
The Reverend Hubert B. Liedy, Jr. has requested the specific use permit and will use a
converted 12'x 20'second floor sun room as the shop. His daughter, Anna Williams, owns
the building. Downstairs is an existing 32 child licensed day care center. The remaining
space on the second floor is used as living area.

Salon in an upstairs room of my home which has reecentely been renovated from

The room consist of 240 sq. feet of space (20 ft. x 12 ft.) It is in compliance with
All City Codes and has been inspected and approved by the various City
Inspecters :Building, Plumbing, Electrical Etc;
The New Use and Activities will not interfere withnor change in any way
The existing outside look of the building nor Landscaping. It will not
Require any additional off street parking in addition to the six (6)
Spaces that are already provided... since it will operate mainly by appointment
By my granddaughter and grand son.
Any other requirments by the city will readily be complied with along with
All state regulatioons and requirements for licensing
