FILE: 1564-P STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of the charter school. This application is in compliance with the eight conditions necessary for approval. Brenda Lewis, principal of the Eagle Project Charter School, has requested a specific use permit to establish a charter school for high school students inside a 6,500 square foot lease space in an existing commercial building at 209 N. 1 11h Street. This property is owned by C. W. Conn. The school will operate from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The applicant states that 150 students will be enrolled, Charter Schools are approved by the State and have the cooperation of the local school districts. Transportation to school is the responsibility of each student. Ample parking exists in this commercial development in front and at the rear of the building, Exhibits are attached.
