Zone Change Request
Dear Murray:
Attached is our application for amendment to the zoning ordinance and the application fee of
$350.00.
Family Services of Southeast Texas is proposing to develop the proposed site to provide 4-5 unit
multi -family apartments, a playground, and a 1,800 sq. ft. community center, including 2 offices,
small kitchen, laundry room, and meeting room. Approximately 4 additional 5-unit buildings could
be added to the rear of the site. A professional property management group will manage this
development and the proposed tenants are required to meet rigorous selection criteria in order to
qualify for occupancy. The community center will be used for various on site job training
seminars, group counseling meetings, and will also attempt to be a hub for other community
based outreach programs. The proposed land use and architectural character of the
development is consistent with the neighborhood's past and present development patterns.
Attached are the architect's site plan and a color picture of the proposed multi -family units.
We would like to appear before the joint public hearing on July 16, 2001.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter and if you have any questions, please advise.
Respectfully Submitted
