SUBJECT: Request for a specific use permit to allow the temporary use of a travel trailer as living
quarters in an RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District.

STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of the specific use permit for a period of 8
months.
Tina Brown, the property owner, is having mold remediation in her home at 7535 Chelsea
Place. The travel trailer is 29' 10" long and 8' wide and will sit in the driveway of the residence.
Electricity will be provided to the trailer and wastewater will be disposed of at an approved
wastewater dump site.

Dear Planning Commission and Beaumont City Council,
I would like to place a travel trader, 29 feet 10 inches long and 8 feet wide, on my driveway at my residence,
7535 Chelsea Place, Beaumont, Texas 77706. This travel trailer will serve as a temporary residence during
the mold remediation of my home.
An electrician will install an electrical box on our house for the purpose of providing electricity to the travel
trader. This setup will then be inspected by the City of Beaumont. The travel trader will hauled to an
approved sewer dumpsite for disposal of waste.
