Richardson, Planning Manager HE SUBJECT: Request for a specific use permit to allow the sale of pre -owned furniture and accessories in an RCR (Residential Conservation and Revitalization) District FILE: 1603-P STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request for the sale ofpre-owned furniture and accessories and a modification to the landscaping and screening. James (Buddy) Stone, owner, wishes to operate a retail business in an existing building at 2262 North, in the Oaks Historic District. Two buildings are located on the subject property. A bookkeeping firm is in the building at the rear. The entrance to the store will be primarily in the rear. A paved parking lot accommodating 10- 12 cars separates the two buildings. Mr. Stone is requesting a modification to the screening and landscaping requirements on the north and cast property lines. The subject property has been commercial for many years. A driveway oil either side of the building runs along the property lines.
