RE: SPECIFIC USE PERMIT
MY NAME is DARRELL REDEAUX. I AM THE 'SOLE PROPRIETOR' OF AFFORDABLE PRINTING, WHICH
IS A COMMERCIAL PRINT SHOP. WE PRINT THINGS SUCH AS LETTERHEADS, ENVELOPES, BUSINESS CARDS,
BOOKS, INVITATIONS AND CARBONLESS FORMS JUST TO NAME A FEW. ALL THINGS PRINTED IN-HOUSE ARE
FLAT PRINTED, MEANING YOU CANNOT FEEL THE INK. I WANT TO RELOCATE TO, WHAT I BELIEVE IS A BETTER
BUILDING AND A BETTER LOCATION.
THE EQUIPMENT USED IN MY DAY TO DAY OPERATION is ANA.B. DICK9870 DWITH AT -HEAD,
AN ITEK SILVER MASTER CAMERA, A HIGH SPEED ToSHIBA358000PIER, A TABLE Top KONICA 1590
COPIER, A FOLDER, A CUTTER, A PERF/SCORING MACHINE, AGBC BINDER AND A LAMINATOR.
ON THE PRESS I USE ACRYLIC INKS MADE BY VAN SON AND THEY HAVE ANH.M.I.S. RATING OF
HEALTH-1 (H- 1) FLAMMABILITY-1 (F-1) AND REACTIVITY-O (R-0). I TRY TO KEEP AS MANY DIFFERENT
COLORS ON HAND AS POSSIBLE FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT IN ORDER TO GET CERTAIN COLORS, 30R4
DIFFERENT COLORS MUST BE MIXED TO GET THAT CERTAIN COLOR. FOR CLEANUP OF THE PRESS, I USE A
FORMULA CALLED STEP-1 AND STEP-2. BOTH ARE MADE BY VARN AND HAVE A HIGH FLASH POINT ONIFR
200 FAND HAS A RATING OFH-1 F-1 R-0. AS FOR MY FOUNTAIN SOLUTION ON THE PRESS, I USE A
MIXTURE OF6OZ. OF ALCOHOL, 4 oz. OF SUPERLENE AND 18 oz. OF WATER. THE ALCOHOL AND
SUPERLENE ARE KEPT ON HAND IN I GALLON CONTAINERS. THE ALCOHOL HAS A RATING OFH-2 F-3 R-0
AND THE SUPERLENE 1) S RATING IS H- 1 F-2 R-0. SUPERLENE IS A CONCENTRATED GLYCERINE BASED ALL
PURPOSE FOUNTAIN SOLUTION. THE CHEMICALS USED IN THE CAMERA TO DEVELOPS My DISPOSIBLE PLATES
ARE BOTH MADE BY ITEK AND ARE NON FLAMMABLE. AND THEY ARE ALSO KEPT ON HAND IN ONE GALLON
CONTAINERS.
I SINCERELY HOPE THAT THIS LETTER ANWERS YOUR QUESTIONS, BUT IF NOT, FEEL FREE TO ASK.
