Richardson, Planning Manager MILI PILWIM SUBJECT: Consider a request for the vacation of the original plat of Pinebrook Place, Unit 11. FILE: Vacation - Original plat of Pinebrook Place, Unit 11 (This case was postponed from May 29, 2002.) RN W."I 0 M On February 20, 2002, the Planning Commission approved a preliminary plat for Pinebrook Place, Unit 11. Habitat for Humanity wishes to build some homes on this property for sale to low income individuals. Since that time, it has been discovered that there was already a plat filed for record on this property. In order to properly receive preliminary and final plat approval, Habitat for Humanity is requesting that the original recorded plat for Pinebrook Place, Unit 11 be vacated. Sec. 24-10 of the Subdivision Regulations allows a recorded plat to be vacated through a written instrument declaring the plat to be vacated, duly executed, acknowledged and recorded with Jefferson County, provided the vacation is first approved by the Planning Commission. Exhibits are attached. 1: MMF: F 7 Building houses in partnership with God's people in neee, MEMERM, City of Beaumont P.O, Box 3827 Beaumont, Texas 77704 Gentlemen: It is our intention to revoke and vacate the original plat or subdivision named Pinebrook Place, Unit 2, an addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, according to the map or plat of said addition of record in the office of the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas; said addition consisting of Lot Nos. I and 2, in Block 3; Lots I to 15 , inclusive Block 4, and Lots I to 15, inclusive, in Block 5, and comprising a 7.832- acre tract of land in the F. Bigner Survey more particularly described by metes and bounds in the dedication of said PMEBROOK PLACE, UNIT 1[, of record in volume 1330, Page 595 of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas, for the purpose of constructing single family residences. Beaumont Habitat for Humanity, the present owner of the above -described property, is in compliance with Sec. 24-10, Vacation of plats, replats and resubdivisions.
