The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request.
Bill Little, the applicant and an adjacent property owner, is requesting the abandonment of a
49.92'x 59.9'portion of Coolidge Street. This section of Coolidge dead -ends at Christina Court
Section Two and is unimproved. The pavement ends immediately east of the subject property.
Mr. Little is purchasing the adjacent Lot 12, Block 42 of Calder Highland Extension Addition.
If this abandonment is approved, lie will incorporate the right-of-way and the aforementioned
Lot 12 into Lots 24 and 25, Block I of Christina Court Section Two.
This item was sent to all interested parties. No negative responses have been received.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCE PURPOSES
Being a 49,92'x 59,9'of Coolidge Street beginning at points perpendicular and parallel with
the northeast corner of Lot 12, Block 42, Tract 2, Calder Highland Extension Addition and the
southwest corner of Lot48, Block 41, Tract 7, Calder Highland Extension and extending 49.92'
west to the northwest corner of said Lot 12 and the northeast corner of Lot 25, Block 1,
Christina Court Section Two, City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0,068
acres; more or less.

Re: Abandonment of Right -of -Way
We are requesting abandonment of the undeveloped right-of-way at the end of Coolidge
Street in front of Lot 12, Block 42, Tract 11, Calder Highland Extension Addition and
behind future Lot 25, Block 1, Christina Court Section Two and beside future Lot 24,
Block 1, Christina Court Section Two (as per preliminary plat of Christina Court Section
Two).
The reason for abandonment is that Litwood, Inc. is acquiring Lot 12, Block 42, Tract 11,
Calder Highland Extension Addition and will be adding said lot and the right-of-way to
Lots 24 and 25, Block 1, Christina Court Section Two.
The ten foot utility casement through Lot 25, Block 1, Christina Court Section Two (said
easement is for water loop for Christina Court) will be extended through the
abandonment right-of-way as necessary.
