Ref. Petition to abandon Colorado from University Drive to previously abandoned Section of
Colorado
Lamar University is requesting the abandonment of this section of Colorado so that it can be
closed to eliminate access or egress from University Drive onto our campus property.
We now own all of the property on cither side of the street and there is no longer a need for
public access. We will be building our newest set of residence halls on block 14 of the Lamar
Addition and do not want through traffic in front of the facility. We plan to landscape a portion
L
of the abandoned street along with a portion of lot I block 15 and lot 22 on block 15.
Sincerely,
r4
