FILE: 664-OB STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request. Mark Cole, the property owner, is requesting the abandonment of a 20' general utility easement that runs along the rear of his property at 7860 Jill Lane. Mr. Cole is wishing to install an in - ground swimming pool in his back yard, thus the need for the abandonment. A 5' general utility easement runs along the front of the property. This item was sent to all interested parties. At the writing of this report, no negative responses have been received. Exhibits are attached. LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCES PURPOSES Being a 20'x 53.66' general utility easement at the rear of Lot 6, Block 2, Pine Glen Second Addition, City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0.024 acres, more or less City of Beaumont April 21, 2004 Planning Division, Room 205 City Hall, 801 Main Street Beaumont, Texas 77704 Planning and Zoning Commission, I am requesting an abandonment of a utility easement at the rear of the property of my residence. I have contacted all of the concerned utility and city offices and have been informed that they are willing to grant my request. The reason for my request is in an effort to have an inground swimming pool installed at my home. The legal description of my property is: Lot 6, Block 2, Pine Glen Second Addition.
