given a stop work order on the addition. The original house and the house of the
neighbor to the east are 20' apart. The addition sits behind and beyond the
neighbor's house. The nearest structure located east of the addition is a detached
one -car garage located about 30 feet east of the property line.
Staff feels that the request adequately meets the three conditions for approval;
therefore, Mr. Richardson recommended approval of the request.
Thirty-nine notices were sent to property owners within 200 feet of the subject
property. One response in favor and one in opposition were returned.
In response to a question from Board Member Fuller, Mr. Richardson said that no
response was received from the neighbor to the east of the subject property. The
response in opposition was from the neighbor across the street.

building permit without a site plan.
Don Burrell, the newly appointed building official, discussed the normal procedures
followed in his office regarding applications for additions and for renovations only.
Board Member Jowers, acting as chairman, opened the public hearing and asked for

building official about his plans, but was only able to talk to a clerk who was not very
