I am writing to request a variance on the sign in front of our house at 2525 Liberty. I had the sign
made to compliment the historical era and style of the house before this area was ordained to be
part of the historical district. I have tried to preserve as much of the original design and flavor of
the home and the yard as possible.
The only feature of the sign that is in question is that it is a little too tall. The iron work is welded
together and cemented in the front yard. It is the only attractive and practical place to have
located it. To change it would require digging the concrete out of the front yard, cutting apart
and re -welding the stand. This would be trouble and expense, but it would also make the sign and
the yard look unattractive for these reasons. I request a variance on our one sign.
Sincerely,
MW—M a 1100 M
