FILE: 480-BA
STAFF REPORT
Nancy Carlisle, owner of Quality Care Sitter Service, Inc., wishes to expand her business by
adding a 17'x 34' addition to the rear of the existing building at 2325 Liberty.
The subject property consists of all of Lot 6 and the north 87' of Lot 5. The existing building
is located on Lot 5. Due to the length of that lot, a variance will have to be granted to
accommodate the proposed expansion.
Since this property is zoned RCR and is located in the Oaks Historic District, the proposed
construction is subject to the approval of an amended specific use permit and a certificate of
appropriateness.
On July 23, the City Council approved the specific use permit. The Historic Landmark
Commission will consider the certificate of appropriateness on August 12.
The applicant shall have the burden of proof to demonstrate that all three conditions necessary
for a variance have been met.
Exhibits are attached.
