WHEREAS, bids were received for a contract to furnish all labor, materials,
equipment, and supplies for the West Elevated Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project;
and,
WHEREAS, Viking Painting, LLC, of Omaha, Nebraska, submitted a bid in the
amount of $849,900.00, as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Viking
Painting, LLC, of Omaha, Nebraska, is the lowest responsible bidder providing the best
value to the City and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by Viking Painting, LLC, of Omaha, Nebraska, to furnish
all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies for the West Elevated Storage Tank
Rehabilitation Project in the amount of $849,900.00, as shown on Exhibit "A," attached
hereto, be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Viking Painting, LLC, of Omaha, Nebraska for the
purposes described herein.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
