Richardson, Planning Director SUBJECT: Request to consider an application for a historic preservation loan for exterior rehabilitation of the "San Augustine Building" at 695 Park St. FILE: The Planning Director recommends approval of this request in the amount of $202000. The applicant has requested $32,000. According to bid estimates, exterior work totals $94,083.28. The applicant owns the entire block -face of 615-695 Park St. He has been working with Texas Historical Commission on renovating the subject property as well as "The Zone" and the Fertitta Building. All exterior work will meet with the approval of the Texas Historical Commission. He is also applying for monies through the Main Street program. The proposed use of the building, once fully renovated, will be offices. Provided the loan amount is approved at $20,000, the rate of repayment will be $416.66 monthly for a period of forty-eight (48) months. We discussed the color scheme that we sent the previous week and selected colors to use: (all Sherwin Williams, Red Barn - SW 2307, Ivy Wall - 2258, Keystone Gray - SW 2005, Mockingbird SW 2006. We will look at another scheme which keeps the carrara glass - It is close in color to SW 2185. We will reprint the old scheme for the St. Augustine building. Carolyn and Steve went over the loan assistance that could be available.
