FROM: Stephen C. Richardson, Planning Director
SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness for placing tin on the
bottom third of a pre-existing wood screening fence in the front yard of a
residential structure.
FILE: CA-434
The Planning Director recommends denial of this request.
The owner of the house at 2525 South has replaced the bottom third of a pre-existing wood
fence with tin. This was done without a certificate of appropriateness. The fence was
constructed entirely of wood.
Sec. 30.21.2 of the Zoning Ordinance states that a fence in a front or corner side yard must
be constructed of wrought iron, wood or brick.
