Richardson, Planning Director SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness for placing tin on the bottom third of a pre-existing wood screening fence in the front yard of a residential structure. FILE: CA-434 The Planning Director recommends denial of this request. The owner of the house at 2525 South has replaced the bottom third of a pre-existing wood fence with tin. This was done without a certificate of appropriateness. The fence was constructed entirely of wood. Sec. 30.21.2 of the Zoning Ordinance states that a fence in a front or corner side yard must be constructed of wrought iron, wood or brick. Exhibits are attached.
