SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness to allow the construction of an
addition to the rear of the house.

STAFF REPORT
The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request.
James Griffin would like to construct a 484 sq. ft. addition to the rear of his home at 2440
Harrison. The addition will include a new kitchen, breakfast area, mud room and porch.
The addition will be sided with hardiplank. The siding will be painted khaki with white trim
to match the house. The roof will have a 3112 pitch and will be covered with khaki colored
architectural shingles. The main structure's roof is concrete tile. Windows will be white frame,
multi -light aluminum windows. The addition will not be seen from the street.
The house is listed in the 1991 SPARE Beaumont. SPARE states that the house was
constructed c. 1930 and is of the Italian Renaissance style.
