Richardson, Planning Manager SUBJECT: Request for approval of a certificate of appropriateness to demolish a structure at 2564 Rusk. FILE: CA-629 STAFF REPORT The Planning Manager recommends approval of this request in order for the property to be forwarded to the City Council for a raze or repair order, The City Council could allow the property owner to enter a work program to repair the structure. The Clean Community Department inspected this structure and found it to be in violation of the City of Beaumont Code of Ordinances pertaining to dangerous structures. The structure was tagged as substandard on July 16, 2001. The most apparent damage is from water. The Robert S. Rollins Estate was identified as the property owner. As of this date, the property owner has not taken action to raze or repair the structure. Taxes have not been paid since 1992. This property is not listed in SPARE. This structure will be presented to City Council in the near future for their consideration of a raze or repair order. Exhibits are attached.
