STAFF REPORT
Neil and Susie Breen wish to construct a carport and two wall extensions at their home at 2500
Harrison.
The carport would be on the north side of the house, on the existing concrete driveway.
Dimensions of the carport will be approximately 34 feet wide by 24 feet deep. The carport roof
will be flat and at a height of 9 feet. It will be constructed of Metal Mart -type galvanized poles,
C-channel purlins and metal roof sheeting. The carport will be covered with hardboard siding
and stucco -finished to resemble the existing residence. Openings will accommodate roll -up
garage doors.
The existing east side fence will be replaced with a 9 foot high stucco finished fence to conceal
the carport from view. The existing west side fence running from the house to Harrison will be
raised to 6 feet in height.
The applicant provided two schemes for the 9 foot fence - one with a column effect and one with
no columns.
Exhibits are attached.
